A warm welcome to Ms. Roberts to the Westview family!
This week, we are excited to welcome Ms. Kirsten Roberts to Westview Elementary! Ms. Roberts will be taking over the role of Kindy teacher as Mrs. Bodie begins her maternity leave. For those of you who don’t know, Ms. Roberts was born and raised in Powell River. She has always been very active in school and community sports growing up, and continues to enjoy the outdoors, spending time up the lake and on Savary Island with family and friends. Ms. Roberts is a keen mountain biker and a tremendously talented artist!
With a background in Psychology, Kirsten became a teacher in 2020. She completed both her practicums at Westview, and last year, she was a part of our Grade 5/6 teaching team. Currently, Kirsten is the part-time Kindergarten to Grade 3 teacher at Texada Elementary. She will be joining Mrs. Culos in our Kindergarten/Grade 1 class. Kirsten is very excited to be back at Westview and be a part of our forward-thinking team. We wish you a warm welcome to Westview Ms. Roberts!

Thank you local firefighters for your support of our pancake and pajama day!
On Friday morning, dark and early, a team of pancake makers got going whisking, mixing, and cooking up just under 100 pancakes! It took the team of Senior Administrators, Trustee, and local firefighters to pull it all together share in the fun of pajama and pancake day!
