What is going on with School Improvement
We are continuously working on the development of our new Mission Statement and District Goal. Our staff has been going through data and collaborating using information to create these items. We will have this process completed on our November 3rd professional development day.
October 6th we will have John Baylor in the building presenting to our 7-12 students and staff. John is the creator of OnToCollege and specializes in preparing students for the ACT and SAT. Here is a link to his website if you would like to learn more!
We will also be starting intervention times for students this month as we have completed MAP testing. These interventions are created for students that may not be on grade level. We are able to take their scores from their MAP test and break them down to what specific standards are giving them troubles. We then create student specific skill plans through IXL for the students to complete to build on those skills where they need additional support.
Activity Passes
Activity passes will be available this year through the high school principal’s office. Passes are good at all sporting activities being held in Plainview, EXCLUDING TOURNAMENTS.
