Who's Alexander the Great?

Alexander the Great was a Macedonian Prince from 336 B.C. to 323 B.C. He was born on July 20th, 356 B.C., in Pella, Macedonia. Macedonia was an empire located to the north of Greece. He is the one who spread the Greek culture throughout the Mediterranean. He is regarded as one of history's brilliant miltary leaders and most powerful rulers of Ancient Greece.

How did he impact the modern world?

Alexander the Great had an impact specifically on the Eastern and Western Civilization and Culture. His legacy was the spread of Greek-influenced culture to most of the known world which lasted for several centuries after his death. In his short 13 year time period of being a prince, he also created many Macedonian colonies in the region.

why was he so important

This was important because he was a Prince and a great conqueror. In his short 13 year time as a king, he conquered more land than any other king in his time. Without Alexander, that culture might not have survived. The Macedonians conquered the Greek city-states.
