Office 365 Chromebook resources

Submitted by Asawnie Moorehouse via the Bristol Weekly

I would like to provide a resource for Chromebook student users who interact with Microsoft Office products in their Online Learning courses.

Online students interact with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel for two common reasons: completing assignments or viewing lecture material. For example, an instructor may upload a lecture in the form of a PowerPoint and a student would download and open that PowerPoint to review the materials. Viewing Microsoft files may be a different experience depending on a student's device.

In the past, we have recommended both Office365 and Google Play Store’s Microsoft apps for Chromebooks. Going forward, we want to make faculty aware that Office365, through accessBCC, provides the most up-to-date, best Microsoft Office experience for Chromebook users.

Navigate to our Office365 Support Guide for Chromebook users for a shareable student resource.
