Dear Rayburn Families,

I am excited to share that our students have been showing tremendous growth in their learning. We continue to work diligently to recover the learning loss that resulted from being out in virtual learning and our teachers and students are doing an amazing job!

We had our first ever Rayburn Destination Imagination team of 3rd graders compete and place 2nd! We are excited to see them compete at the next level possibly at state in Arlington or Nationals in Kansas! Our boys elevate basketball team has had an undefeated season and they have just a few games left. Special shout out to Coach Rios (5th grade parent) for volunteering to coach these boys, we are grateful for your time and efforts. Our Chess and Robotics team will be competing this month and we look forward to seeing them apply what they have been learning and practicing all year long. So many wonderful things are happening for our students at Rayburn and we are excited to discover their future talents and achievements!

Please help your child by having them at school each day and for the entire day. Each day they are out or hours they are picked up early, puts them behind in their learning. It is very difficult to make up this time for both the student and the teacher. Getting students to school on time by 7:45am each morning is also necessary for their learning.
