Dear Partnership Network Schools and Districts,
I am pleased to announce pre-registration for Coaching Emotional Resilience – a professional development opportunity sponsored by the Rex Institute for Educational Renewal and Partnerships on June 11-12, 2019.
Elena Aguilar has trained thousands of educators across the United States and abroad in transformational coaching and team development. Her new book entitled Onward: Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Educators highlights the role emotion plays in the everyday work of educators. In training provided by Elena's colleague, Janet Baird, participants will employ strategies for building their own habits of resiliency as well as coaching others to do the same. Visit http://www.onwardthebook.com/ for more information about the program. In discussions with many of you, we know this work is critical in supporting new educators as they navigate the current complexities of PK-12 education.
In order to confirm the number of participants and thus the price per person, we need pre-registrations by Wednesday, February 13! After this date, we will determine the exact cost for each participant and send the final registration/payment instructions. After taking a general interest inventory, we estimate the cost to be approximately $150 per person (includes training, book, and workbook). The pre-registration survey linked below is designed for one person to complete from each school site/department for all who are interested (we assume this person might be an administrative specialist, bookkeeper, administrator, liaison, etc.). This will help to facilitate the payment process if multiple participants are from one school.
NOTE: We can also take individual pre-registration/registration details if participants are paying for themselves.

This is open to all schools in Partnership Network districts so please forward as appropriate (this email only includes district liaisons and Partnership Network school principals/liaisons). Do not hesitate to let me know if questions arise.

SLO/GBE
Counselor's Corner
On Friday, February 8th 2nd-5th grade will be participating in JA for a day. This half day workshop will kick off our career unit in Guidance.
JA for a day is dedicated to teaching 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness skills. Volunteers present the JA curriculum to students – giving students the opportunity to benefit from the volunteer’s background and experience.
Junior Achievement inspires and prepares young people to succeed in an increasingly competitive global economy. We do so by helping teachers support their students with 21st century skills including entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career readiness.
