Science Rock Types and Cycle
Raphael Jefferson Hertanto
Introduction
My name is Raphael and in this online poster, I will explain something about the types of the rock and the rock cycle.
There are 3 types of rock
Igneous Rock
Igneous is the rock that formed from the molten rock, mineral and metal from the mantle.
Sedimentary Rock
Sedimentary : Sedimentary is the rock that formed from the layer (compacting) of the sediment of the sand, small rocks, dead animal.
Metamorphic Rock
Metamorphic : Metamorphic is the rock that formed from the heat and pressure that the sedimentary and igneous rock get.
Diagram About Rock
Rock Cycle Diagram
This is the diagram that show how the Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic Rock formed.
Rock Mindmap
This is the Mindmap that explain the Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic Rock.
Rock Cycle Diagram Explanation
Igneous
The igneous rock is made by the cooling lava. The igneous rock can be changed form to Sediment (by the weathering and erosion), Metamorphic (from heating and pressure process) and melting into magma.
Sediment and Sedimentary
The compacting and cementing of the sediment can become a sedimentary rock. The sedimentary rock can be changed form to metamorphic rock (from heating and pressure process) and melting into magma
Metamorphic
The heat and pressure process of the igneous and sedimentary rock can be made the metamorphic rock. The melting process can change this rock become the magma and the weathering and the erosion can changed this rock become the sediment.
More detail about rock
How the rock can change their form?
Rock can change their form because of the weathering, magma, erosion, compacting, cementing, melting, cooling, etc.
