Shout Octs
- Shout out to Michelle Jordan for doing a lesson on the way people speak differently! She talked about bumpy speech and how to give each other TIME and LISTEN. Valuable and much needed lesson to make sure all in my classroom feel safe, valued, and loved! - M. Creech
- PTO, PBIS Committee members, parent volunteers, front office staff, Mr. Grantt, homeroom teachers, and our custodial for FFF efforts.
- Thanks to our PTO, parent volunteers, and staff members that volunteered time for our annual fall festival. There was a really good turnout and families enjoyed themselves.
- Shout to B. Blackwell and V. Gustafson setting up a book sale during the fall festival. Brilliant idea given the crowd to sell gently used books at incredible prices so that families can add to their home libraries.

Student Led Conference on a Saturday?
There is interest in having the building open on a Saturday (to be determined) for student led conferences. If there is high interest from multiple grade levels and teachers we will make arrangements to move accordingly. Please let me know by email (include S. Cope) by Tuesday. Thanks!
Student Badges
Our initial thinking is for 3rd-5th graders to have break away lanyards with their badges attached. Those badges can be kept/maintained in classrooms and worn when going to the cafeteria and media center.
For grades K-2 our initial thinking is that badges can be distributed to students when arriving to the cafeteria. When going through the line Ms. Beverly will collect and return the badges to a designated wall place in the cafeteria.
We will talk further on Tuesday afternoon but anticipate instituting this change Monday, October 15.
We develop students who care about the world we live in and express critical thinking through natural curiosity and wonder.
