How Genetics studies Life:
-used to diagnose genetic disorders
-used to prevent children from have future disorder in their genes
-used to predict how a certain individual will react to certain medicines or drugs
-aides in the prevention of genetic diseases and disorders
Aflred Day Hershey
Personal Biography:
-born in December 4th 1908 in Owosso, Michigan
-Alfred Hershey married Harriet Davidson in 1945
-he had one son named Peter
Scientific Biography:
-worked on bacteriophage
-bacteriophage is a virus that parasites a bacterium by infecting and reproducing inside of it
-worked with scientists like Max Belbruck and Salvador Luria
Scientific Legacy:
-demonstrated with the blender experiment that DNA was the genetic material of life
-helped come up with research that helped other scientist develop a Polio vaccine
-in 1945 he proved that phages, viruses, were capable of spontaneous mutation
