PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

Well, this school year sure has provided us many opportunities and challenges. As I look back to a year ago and think about where we were as a school, district and community; we were faced with so many unknowns. Each day presented a new adventure as we tried to navigate the closure of the school year and head into a summer of unknowns.

As this year is drawing closer to its end, we are working to bring back some normalcy but are still limited in what we can do. We are working as a school team to find fun things to wrap up our year. Classrooms have taken a walking field trip to the park to have some fun to celebrate the end of the year. We are also planning events like a field day, eating lunch outdoors, and fun activities where grades and classes can celebrate student success and growth.

As we head into the summer, please think back on all that we have been through and the greatness that we have achieved. I am so proud to be a part of the Abrams School and Community. We have worked together to endure and overcome so much. Be proud of all that you have achieved.

Please contact the office if you are in need of anything or have any questions. Summer hours are limited when it comes to office coverage. Please reach out through email and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Have a fabulous end of the year and enjoy your summer!

Collection of Chromebook Chargers

Time to return Chromebook Chargers.....Families in grades 2-5 should have a Chromebook charger at home. We need to get these back and begin to inventory them. If your child were to need to be out due to a quarantine, we will send a charger home at that time.

Please send the charger back with your child if you have not done so yet.

Notes from the Office

Last Day of School Reminder: The last day of school is Thursday, June 3rd. It is an early dismissal day (12:55), for students in 5k through 5th. Report cards are given out at the end of the day and are sent home with the students, if a student leaves before the end of the day, their report card will be mailed home.

On the last day of school 4K am and pm students will attend together from 7:45 am until 10:50 am, with dismissal for 4k students at 10:50 am.

The last day of school is a fun day with planned activities for the students, and a great way to celebrate the end of the year. But it is not a free-for-all. School rules and common courtesies are still in effect for that day, students who choose to come to school with distracting, skimpy or otherwise inappropriate clothing or who make bad behavior choices will not be allowed to participate in the fun activities. Thank you for your help in reinforcing that message.

Time for Laughter
