WHS Booster Club - Volunteers Needed
Are you wanting to get involved in helping the students of Windsor High School but don’t have a lot of extra time to spend? The Windsor High School Booster Club needs parent volunteers and the time commitment is minimal. We are looking for parents who would be interested in being on the WHS Booster Club board for the 2018/2019 school year. This is a great opportunity for you to meet WHS faculty & other parents while helping the needs of the WHS student body. The focus of WHS Booster Club is to generate funds for all programs through individual and business relationships and encourage students, student athletes, coaches, parents and the community to collectively create a positive atmosphere for all athletic and other school sponsored clubs and programs.
If interested please send an email to the WHS Booster Club @ whswizbooster@gmail.com

Spring Testing Information
At WHS, we administer state tests not only because it is a requirement, but also because the data that these tests generate are helpful to us in seeing how individual students are doing, what they are learning, and how our school is performing. Additionally, as you may be aware, the Colorado Department of Education uses standardized test scores to generate school performance ratings.
There are several advantages for our school if all students participate and put forward their best effort on these tests. High participation makes it easier for us to draw conclusions from the data and make changes for the purpose of supporting instruction that is relevant to all our students. Additionally, the ability to capture statistically relevant data from a representative portion of our student body has the potential to positively impact our school’s performance rating.
Below is our 2017-18 testing schedule. Please note that students who opt out of testing will be required to complete an alternative assignment. Thank you in advance for your support.
Thursday, March 29, CMAS Testing (science) in the morning for juniors: starting at 8:00 AM, freshman and sophomore students will do the PSAT prep. Senior students will not attend in the morning. All students will attend periods Gold 1–4 in the afternoon.
Tuesday, April 10, SAT Test for juniors:9th, 10th, and 12th grade students will not attend in the morning. All students will have ELO/intervention opportunities with their teachers in the afternoon.
