The first student day back to school after the break is Tuesday, January 8th. After the break we will have new tutoring opportunities for the students; look every day in their backpacks for notices about these great opportunities!

Starting Jan. 7: Register or reconfirm your student’s enrollment in MVWSD for 2019-20
The Mountain View Whisman School District's open enrollment for next fall will open online on Jan. 7.
For NEW students: January 7 - February 3, you will be able to register your child for transitional kindergarten - eighth grade online for the 2019-20 school year here: www.mvwsd.org/register
For CURRENT students in transitional kindergarten-7th grade: Parents will be able to log on to the PowerSchool Parent Portal to enroll their children for 2019-20 January 7- February 3. To check your access, log on to https://ps.mvwsd.org/public/. If you have difficulty signing in, please contact your school office or call 650-526-3252 and press 3 between 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mentor Tutor Connection Volunteer Information Session - January 15th
You can change the life of a student!
Come learn about volunteer opportunities to Mentor high school students and Tutor students in grades K-8 in our Mountain View and Los Altos schools.
There is no obligation to sign up as a volunteer. You're welcome to just come and learn more about what we do.
All volunteers must be high school graduates.

MV Parent U presents Dolores Huerta, civil rights leader, on activism, feminism and education.
When: Wednesday, Jan. 16, 6:30-8 PM at the Graham Middle School, Auditorium
Ms. Huerta is an American labor leader and civil rights activist who, with Cesar Chavez, is a co-founder of the National Farmworkers Association. She will talk about the importance of education, parents' role in students’ success and how they can advocate for their children. As founder and president of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, she travels across the country engaging in campaigns and influencing legislation that supports equality and defends civil rights. She continues to work tirelessly developing leaders and advocating for the working poor, women, and children.
