ALL SAINTS WINS 1st PLACE IN ASV 7th GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT!
The All Saints Vikings 7th Grade Boys Invitational basketball tournament was held this past weekend. ASV hosted the event entering 2 All Saints boys' squads in the athletic competition. One team consisted almost entirely of 6th graders who Coach Tilker pulled from this year's B team. Knowing they were the youngest group participating did not deter their effort. Coach was very proud of how they played, stating he saw "real growth from the team." ASV's other squad was almost exclusively made of 7th graders. This team was hyped to win the tournament and had a HUGE target on their back since they have not lost a game yet this season. Everyone wanted to be the team that beat the undefeated Vikings. If our boys felt the added pressure, they did not show it. They handled every team put against them on the court with a smile on their face. Even as they went down to the last remaining seconds against St. Anne in the championship, they never showed any emotion other than a true sense of joy in competing. Coach Tilker and Coach Sherman could not be more proud to call them the 2017 champions!!! CONGRATULATIONS!
