Monday Minutes

With the new year, we often think about resolutions. This year, my resolution is to lead a balanced life. Part of this balanced life involves a commitment to personal wellness. If you are also interested in personal wellness, we invite you to join us in a commitment to personal wellness this semester. Here's how it works:
1. Set a personal wellness goal for the week. Here are some ideas:
go to bed a half hour earlier
eat a healthy breakfast
read to your children nightly
take the dog for a walk every day after school
make a change with how you access social media
2. Tell an accountability partner what you are committing to for the week. The accountability partner could be a team member, your spouse, another family member, etc.
3. Complete your goal.
4. Fill out the Google form on Friday before you leave for the day (or over the weekend if you forget).
5. Wear jeans the following Wednesday.
6. Repeat each week for the rest of the semester.
Here's an example:
Next week, I am committing to a 9:15 pm bedtime. I told Alicia my goal. If, by Friday, I have met that goal, I will tell Alicia (and she'll say, "Yay! Good job!"), then complete the google form and wear jeans the NEXT Wednesday.
Clear as mud? Please ask me if you have questions. I don't want you to miss out on this opportunity to take care of yourself, then get to wear jeans.
