Districtwide Information for the Week of 1/18

Hybrid Learning/On Campus learning begins Tues. 1/19

We are set to return to hybrid learning beginning on Tuesday, 1/19. All students will be in the on-campus or distance learning cohort that they were assigned for trimester 2. Monday is distance learning for all students. Your patience with traffic at pickup and dropoff times is greatly appreciated.

Pine Hill:

Monday - Both cohorts in the morning. Teachers will share specific times; Tues-Fri. - AM Cohort 8:15-11:00, PM Cohort 12:00-2:45

Explore will resume on Tuesday 1/19, starting after school until 5:30 pm.

Second/Third grade on-campus students will enter the Pine Hill campus at the NEW GATE to the right of the main office gate.

South Bay:

Mon. AM Cohort 8:30-9:15, PM Cohort 12:15-1:00; Tues-Fri. AM Cohort 8:30-11:15, PM Cohort 12:15-3:00

Explore will resume on Tues. 1/19, starting after school until 5:30 pm.

Please remember all students that come on campus must be screened at home using the Qualtrics daily screening. This is emailed to the student email accounts daily. There is an option to add a parent cell phone number to receive a morning text with the survey. The questions have been updated so please read through them carefully before replying.

One of the new questions on the survey asks about non-essential travel. If your child has traveled more than 120 miles from home within the last 14 days on non-essential travel, we ask that they stay home and quarantine prior to coming back onto campus. If marked "yes" the survey will direct you to contact the site principal to determine a return to campus date. Thank you so much for ensuring student safety as we return to on-campus learning.

If you have any questions please contact Mr. Grimmett at 707-273-2113 at Pine Hill, or Mrs. Becksted at 707-296-8776 at South Bay. Thank you.

Cope & Hope at South Bay

The Cope & Hope Photo Project seeks to document how students, families, and schools are experiencing the impacts of school closures due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. We want to narrow the focus to uplifting the resilience of teachers and students’ ability to cope in a time of distress and “come together” virtually to envision how they hope their schools will transform when in-person instruction resumes.

This is a project that South Bay Students will be working on during their art classes with Ms. Ngan starting at the beginning of 2021!

Pine Hill Picture Days - January 28-29

Picture Days at Pine Hill will be taking place on January 28th and 29th. Most slots for distance students will be on the 28th with a few on the 29th available. In-person students will be on the 29th only. A signup form will be emailed/texted to distance learning families on the 19th to pick an appointment time.

You can order your pictures online NOW through Lifetouch's website:

As a reminder, all visitors must complete a health screening before coming on campus. Please use the CDC screener at home before coming. Thanks!
