EOY Credit Push!
Customer Service
We're currently offering Customer Service as an offline class to students twice a week - Mondays and Wednesdays. Students will have the opportunity to earn course credit and an Industry Based Credential once they complete the course. It's also a great addition to your student's resume! Please ensure your student is attending school regularly so that they can take advantage of this great opportunity! Students not currently enrolled in Customer Service will have another opportunity to take the course in August.
Complete Current Courses
We are encouraging students to earn credits by completing the courses in which they are currently enrolled by June 28th. We have given students EOY course completion goal trackers and are working with teachers in cases where students may need a little extra time in-class to finish a course.
How Parents Can Help!
The biggest way you can help your student earn credits (and graduate!) is by making sure your student is present at school every day. Attendance matters and students cannot finish courses if they are not present. If you know your student will be out for a vacation or other obligation OR if your student just needs a little extra time to finish a course, make sure they take advantage of banking. Students are able to bank twice a week Monday - Thursday.
Encourage your student to do course work from home. Students can watch lectures, take notes, study, and even take quizzes at home. As little as 30 minutes a day adds up and can make a big difference in course completion.
