being in the fire service isn't just about putting out fires they also work by..:

sorting out floods

rescuing animals in awkward places

rescuing people from awkward places ( stuck in a lift)

saving people from road traffic collisions

working with the public to prevent fires in the first place

the fire service work alongside the police and ambulance service and are a big part of rescuing people trapped inside cars or fires


There are lots of behind the scene roles in the fire services that are just as important as the front line fire fighters these jobs roles include of:
