What A Week We Had Last Week!!

Alta Mesa Families,

Last week was a lot of fun. We had so much packed into the week it was hard to keep up. The biggest event was hosting our K-5 Cross Country meet on Thursday. We had a big crowd of parents and onlookers as well as staff helping out. It was such a positive event and great to see the outpouring of support for our runners! I want to especially thank all of our staff members that volunteered to help. They were course guides, rabbits, turtles, and finish-line managers.

This week we have even more great things planned. We will be closing out our cross-country season at Mistletoe. Our 4/5 Co-ed Soccer permission slips go out as well as other after-school activities. We will also be hosting our first "Movies at the Mesa" on Friday where we will have an inflatable screen watching Hotel Transylvania outside on the grass near the gym. Plenty of great opportunities for students and families coming up this week.

Parent Club Meeting on Tuesday

Please swing by and join our monthly Parent Club meeting on Tuesday from 6 pm-7 pm. We will be discussing the fall carnival and other great events. We will be meeting in the library.

Permission slips will be available in the office from 10/10 to 10/14. All permission slips are due Friday, Oct 14th.

4th-5th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball Camp

Permission slips went home with students last week and are in the office if needed. All permission slips need to be turned in prior to the first day of camp.

2:30-3:30 Fridays (11/18 meeting will be 1:30-2:30 due to the minimum day schedule)

Garden Club: 1st - 5th Grade

Be a part of the 2022/2023 Alta Mesa Garden Club! Please have your student ask their teacher for a permission slip (permission slips will also be available in the office). All permission slips will need to be turned in before the first Garden Club meeting (10/04/2022). If your child is participating in Cross Country they can sign-up for Garden Club and start when Cross Country is over.

Students will need to arrive at 2:45 pm, the first race starts at 3:00 pm
Wear your Alta Mesa shirt or school colors (Blue, White, Red)
Make sure to bring water for your student
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be given for each race (every student will receive a participation ribbon)
