September News
We are off to a great start! In the first 7.5 days of school we have focused on the following:
Building Relationships in the classoom
Routines and Procedures
Teaching the MAVS expectations throughout the school
AND Getting to know our students on a personal, social emotional and academic level.
In the month of September we wil continue to get to know our students even more academically. We will be giving a few assessments to check for individual and classroom academic strengths and areas of need, to help build our instructional plans accordingly.
One of the most important ways that you can help as a parent is by ensuring your student attends school regularly. Research shows that missing more than 1 day per month has a negative impact on student school success.
For those students who may find themselves needing to quarantine for an extended period of time, please ask your child's teacher what the plans are for your student to access their work at home. We are currently putting plans into place to ensure that students can continue to learn during quarantining.
We are looking forward to all the great learning that will take place in September.
