Last Week at TJ
I must say the highlight of my week was walking around the building with the visitors from Middle States and getting to brag about all the wonderful things we do at T.J. and all the important things we believe in. I am so proud of the work you and our students do everyday.
I would also like to thank the Olweus Coordinating Team for their help in the redesign of the Constitution Day assembly and coming up with the idea of the T.J. Connor Constitution. Hope you have all had a chance to stop by and sign our Constitution.
I also got to sit in for a little while while Wendy, Alison, Linda and Danielle worked together to figure out the Next Steps in Guide Reading Assessment. It was my pleasure to watch as these four colleagues worked together to learn something new. Don't forgot to sign up for your day to administer your assessment.

This site contains book titles to support the Daily 5 and the CAFE strategies. Once on the CAFE page click on one of the strategies to get list of books to teach that strategy. Looks like this resource is a work in progress.

I love to follow Patricia Polacco on Facebook because she (or her team) are always posting pictures from books, inspirational quotes and pictures from her life. She shares quite openly about her family, including that last week her "Rotten Redheaded Older Brother" passed. She also posted a video of her introducing her latest book, Fionna's Lace.
