Holiday Cards for Mercy Haven
Every year, our students create homemade holiday cards for children in the Mercy Haven Network. Throughout the month of November and the start of December, the library is helping to promote and collect these handmade holiday cards.
Students are invited to come to the library to work on their cards or to pick up construction paper and holiday stickers to create their cards at home. When completed, students should drop off their handmade cards in the library to receive community service hours (20 minutes per card).
Last year, we were able to fill and deliver a paper box full of cards to Mercy Haven, who then distributed them to children across Long Island!
