Principal's notes for the week of 10/25/21
Park Hall Families,
Here are important updates:
This week is RED RIBBON Week. All student and staff should dress up according to the themes listed in the attachment and calendar below. We will spend a portion of the week encouraging our students to live a drug free life.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
SMCPS has multiple positions available to support our students and staff, including full-time and part-time positions in various areas. Employment opportunities can be found on the SMCPS website.
The Abacus Corporation provides part-time/temporary positions to support SMCPS as well. Various positions are also available through the Abacus Corporation and can be found on the Abacus website.
Calendar of Events
Red Ribbon Week- Students are encouraged to dress according to the day's theme
Monday 10/25
- Red Ribbon Week theme: Wear your favorite hat (Hat's off to being drug free)
Tuesday 10/26
- Red Ribbon Week theme: Wear your favorite jersey or sports gear (Team up against drugs)
- PE Show practice 3:45-5:00 pm (intermediate students)
Wednesday 10/27
- Red Ribbon Week theme: Wear tie dye (Peace out to drugs)
Thursday 10/28
- Red Ribbon Week theme: Wear Pajamas (Follow your dreams, don't do drugs) **students will be going to recess so they should have sneakers or appropriate footwear**
- Pre-K FASST 10:00 for the AM class and 2:00 for the PM class
- Pre-K storybook character dress up day
Friday 10/29
- Red Ribbon Week theme: Wear Park Hall colors-blue/yellow (PHES is proud to be drug free)
- Kindergarten field trip to Forrest Hall Farm
- 2 hour early dismissal-No school for pre-k
- PTA sponsored Trunk or Treat in the front parking lot from 5:00-7:00 pm
PTA News
- Trunk or Treat on 10/29 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm.
- The PTA is encouraging candy donations to be sent in to the school as soon as possible. Donations can be turned into the main office. Volunteers who are volunteering for trunks will receive an email from the PTA board for set up time and directions.
***All children who are participating in the Trunk or Treat must have a guardian with them for the entire event.***
Introduction to Park Hall Elementary
Park Hall Elementary School provides a rich educational experience that focuses on preparing well rounded students that are ready to succeed in their future college and career endeavors. Park Hall educates and inspires our diverse population in a safe and respectful environment. Students are engaged in authentic learning experiences that foster work habits and skills necessary to become collaborative, dedicated, and productive citizens.
