American Airlines Vice President to Visit
He plans to visit Web Design, Computer Support, and Intro classes. He will have the opportunity to see the American Airlines Mentors engage with our students during the Friday enrichment and certification classes.
He will also tour the soon to be remodeled original Adamson building. Interesting side note: Mr. Leist's in-laws attended Adamson.
Mr. Leist will conclude his visit by having lunch with the American Airlines employees who office at Adamson.

2018 CCR School Models Leadership Regional Meeting
Educate Texas selected Adamson High School as a host campus leader for their annual portfolio of College and Career Readiness (CCR) school models for a regional meeting of minds and best practices.

American Airlines/IBM/DISD to visit PTECH School in Brooklyn, NY
This will be an opportunity for PTECH Leadership to hear from and ask questions of the staff at the first PTECH school in Brooklyn.

Executive Advisory Board (EAB) Meeting
The Board meets every three months.
The next meeting is scheduled on December 5, 2018 at 3:00 PM.
Representatives at the September EAB meeting decided to investigate ways in which hardware and connectivity might be made available to students so that they can continue their studies at home. A sub-committee will gather information on the availability of computers and internet service at each student's residence.
American Airlines & IBM Mentorship
The American Airlines and IBM mentors supplement students studies.
They provide additional study in a computer lab format.
Among their goals, are for students to have "hands on" experiences and be ready and able to pass their certification exams.
The mentors will be at Adamson on Fridays, with the exception of District holidays.
In Adamson's weekly schedule, Friday is a "C" Day, with the order of classes being: periods 1, 5, 2, 6, 3, 7, 4, & 8.
There will be occasions where, due to a holiday falling on a Monday, Friday will revert to being an "A" Day, with the order of classes being: periods 1, 2, 3, & 4.

Web Design Pathway Mentoring
W.H. Adamson Collegiate Academy P-Tech Early College
W.H. Adamson Collegiate Academy will enable students to explore a wide range of career interests in the field of technology. The curriculum focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with an emphasis in Computer and Information Technology will challenge students to discover solutions to real-world challenges. Students will have the opportunity to develop the skills and experience to explore and design creative solutions, acquire the communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills that are necessary for success in the 21st century workplace in the field of Information Technology and Computer Support.
Career Pathways in Technology
IT/Computer Information Technology AAS will provide training in Web Application Development.

Personal Computer Support AAS will train students to troubleshoot software and hardware problems.
El Centro College
Through the early college dual credit courses at El Centro College dual credit, all students will earn up to 60 hours of credits towards an associate degree in Technology.

Dress Code Schedule
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
PTECH Uniform is
white Collegiate polo w/navy, black, or khaki pants.
Wednesday
PTECH Professional Uniform is
Collegiate blazer or logo cardigan,
navy blue pants (skirt option for girls), white shirt, red tie.
Friday
Students may wear appropriate jeans (no ripped jeans).
