A Message from Ms. McKay
Wow - the countdown is on. It's been a great week at Dike-Newell School, with second grade field trips to Maine Maritime Museum, visits from Morse High School students in Kindergarten classes, and so much more! All the fun wrapped up Friday with the Holiday Bee-Zar. As we head into next week it's hard to believe there are 4 school days left in 2023!! Thank you once again to our fantastic Dike-Newell Community. 2022 was a hard year for us.... 2023 we got back on our feet, and looking ahead to 2024 we've got so much to be grateful for! Whatever you may celebrate, we wish you the best holiday possible. As we say here at DNS, be safe, be kind, and be responsible!

Notes from the Nurse
Did you know that eating 5 servings of vegetables and fruit a day can reduce your risk for serious health problems?
Vegetables and fruit provide your child with vitamins and minerals that promote healthy growth and development. Try offering a serving of vegetables and/or fruit at each meal. No need to force your child to eat vegetables, just serve them and let them try it out. You can role model healthy eating by making sure there are vegetables and fruit on your plate at meal times as well.
