Happy Friday and Happy Birthday, Lois Lenski!! It was another great week at Lenski! 70s Day was so fun! Both our Kindergarten and 2nd Grade students had a blast at the Historical Littleton Museum. It was a great field trip had by all!

We are looking forward to connecting with you all during conferences next week. Just a reminder that students do not have school on Thursday, October 20th and Friday, October 21st. Enjoy the time with your family!

Drop-Off in the Morning: When dropping your student off in the morning, please pull up to the the drop-off/pick-up sign at Fairfax. This will allow cars to move in and out more quickly in the morning. Jessica is out in the mornings to help open car doors for your student. Please follow the signs when you are in the drop-off loop. Thanks for your attention to this.

Pokemon Cards: Pokemon cards are fun and kids love them! However, these cards have posed many challenges for us at school. Please tell your student to keep their Pokemon cards at home.

Accountability Meeting: We have our next Accountability Meeting scheduled for this upcoming Monday, October 17th at 1:30. Here's our agenda for the meeting. If you are not able to attend in person, you can join virtually.

Halloween Plans:

We are looking forward to celebrating Halloween at Lenski!

October 28th: We will host a Trunk-Or-Treat from 4pm to 5pm at school. Room parents will work with classroom teachers to decorate each trunk. We will have live music too!

October 31st: While it is a normal school day for us, our classroom teachers will engage students throughout the day with fall-related activities. At about 1:45, we will begin our school-wide parade that will begin inside our building and end by looping outside of our school. Families are invited to come and support our students by being spectators outside of the building. Please plan for the weather. When you and your kiddos are planning a costume for the year, please remember that no face paint or facsimile of weapons or inappropriate scary masks will not be allowed.

Veteran’s Day: We are excited to host a breakfast at Lenski for our Veterans on November 11th! Please complete this Veteran's Day Form to let us know if you’d like to participate in our Veteran’s Day celebration!

Thanksgiving Lunch: Please note the date change on the provided flyer below. We are excited to host Thanksgiving Lunch on November 17th!

We will be jointly attending conferences this next week to help answer questions about class, groups, circles, and anything else that you may have questions about with your students. It has been a pleasure to start a few of the groups & lunch bunches we will be offering this fall, and several others will be starting in the next few weeks. Our classroom communication circles have been great so far- meeting with each class every other week to help foster community in each classroom, and the students seem to like these times together as well! As always, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns that you have that either Shannon or Amy can help with!
