Best Zirconium in Town!
Our Zirconium is a beautiful grayish-white color. It is very strong, malleable, and ductile! Zirconium reacts with air to form Zirconium Oxide. This protects from corrosion. Zirconium gets its name from the mineral Zircon and it came from the Persian word Zargun meaning gold-like. Zirconium does not react with most cold acids or with water. Be careful though because finely-divided Zirconium could ignite spontaneously in air. It is used in high performance pumps and valves. An important use of Zirconium is in nuclear power plants. Zirconium is a very common element. It is processed by being decomposed on a white, hot tungsten filament creating a crystal bar of pure Zirconium.
