congrats to our hornets!
A message from our principal
In this the Third Week of Lent, we are reminded by Sunday’s Gospel that Jesus is like life-giving water and receiving Jesus in Holy Communion keeps us spiritually alive.
The HFCS Lenten Penance Service is this Thursday, March 23, at 10 a.m. in the Church. There will be no School Mass this week. Students must be in formal uniform on Thursday.
This weekend is HFCS Weekend at all HFCC Masses. I would like to encourage the students and families to show your Hornet Pride, with students wearing their formal uniforms to Mass. Our families are truly the best advertisement for HFCS, and I thank you all for serving as such a fine example of Christian Grace and Love! To help us additionally promote HFCS, we have printed stickers for you all to wear to Mass. They may be picked up from the School Office, or can be sent home upon request. Contact Trisha Klement, and she will be happy to set you up with as many as you need. Thanks for spreading the Holy Family word! Go Hornets!
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve

Thank you!
Recess definitely got a boost, thanks to Keegan & Mandy Jonkers and Circle C Construction. They made a very generous donation of labor and supplies to resurface the outdoor basketball court. Thank you!
A HUGE thanks to our dads who came out Saturday morning to work on the baseball/softball field, clean the outside of the building, trim trees, fix basketball goals, and paint the Hornet on the resurfaced outdoor court. Special thanks to Mike Cook, George Salerno, Jason Pierce, Jesse Granado, Tug Rix, and Jack Price. Great job!
A belated thank you to the parents of 1st and 6th Grades. They hosted a Staff Luncheon in February, and we really enjoyed it!
Lenten Mission Series
In this year, the 75th Anniversary of our parish, St. Alice/Holy Family, we are pleased to present a special series of Lenten reflections. Each evening begins with 6 p.m. Mass in the Church, followed by supper, which will be provided by different HFCC ministries. During supper, we have a special speaker – Sr. Mary Frances Serafino, SSMN.
A former principal of St. Alice, and a Sister of Saint Mary of Namur, Sr. Mary Frances Serafino will be speaking on the Past, the Present, and the Future of Holy Family Catholic Church. Please plan to attend at least one of these evenings. They are scheduled for March 22, March 29, and April 5. The HFCC Men's Club and HFCS Staff will be providing the meal for April 5. See you there!

Children's choir needs you
Did you know that our church has a choir for you? The Children's Choir has been singing for Mass at Holy Family since 1995 and the Youth Choir since 2000. Each choir only sings once a month at the 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday. Even if you regularly attend another Mass, you can check out the fellowship shared at the 5 p.m. Mass and be a part of it by leading them in song.
The choirs meet on Wednesday evenings and you can even receive service hours by volunteering your time and talent to the choirs! If you have any questions please contact the choir director, Keisha Matthews at klsmatthews@yahoo.com or 817-733-6583.
