February News!!!!
Jacksonville Commons Elementary School
February 5, 2016
Happy 100th day of school!!! Happy Valentine’s Day!!! Can you believe it is already February? This school year is flying by. With the end of the 1st semester and the completion of mid-year benchmark assessments, it is a great time to setup a conference with your child’s teacher to talk about their progress. Please contact Mrs. Cyndi at the front desk, 347-1056, to assist you with this process. This newsletter is to highlight some of the happenings that have occurred, and the big events that will occur between now and Spring Break.
4th Grade Recorder Concert/PTO Meeting
At 6:30 pm, on Tuesday, February 9th, we will have a short PTO meeting and 4th grade recorder performance in our multipurpose room. Please come on out and support our 4th grade musicians. Please do look for PTO updates at the Jacksonville Commons PTO facebook page.
Leadership Notebooks
Ask your child about the work they have done in their leadership notebooks. Inside their notebooks they are drafting their mission statements, writing Wildly Important Goals, charting their academic progress, reflecting on their progress, and listing their accomplishments. We hope that when you come to JCE your child will have an opportunity to share their notebook with you.
