Call for Volunteer Help
We are in need a of 4-6 people to serve as spotters and/or recorders to help ensure our live auction runs smoothly. This does not require being on stage or presenting, but it does require your full attention for the duration of the live auction (about 30 min). For more information, or if you are interested in helping with this, please contact Stacey Jennings at email@example.com.
We are also in need of someone to pick up coffee for our dessert service from the Acre Coffee on 4th St. (just 1.5 blocks from the venue) at 6pm and deliver it to the event. Please contact Britt Galler at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to help facilitate a fun caffeine run!
2019 Paddle Pledge & Live Auction Items Announced
This year, at the request of a broad coalition of parents, we are taking the bold step of funding a new Campus Advisor position to help support the social-emotional needs of our kids on the playground and across campus throughout the school day. As you'll read below, we have already started a pilot of this position, hiring the amazing Nanci Ryan to take on this important role. We hope that you will consider lending your financial support to to fund this position during this year's Paddle Pledge.
We have an absolutely stellar line up for our live auction this year which will feature; Vacation getaways to Mexico, Hawaii and Newport Beach, as well as two separate wine wall collections, and "A Year of Pampering" package. Start planning your bidding strategy now!

The Paddle Pledge: Our New Campus Advisor
At the start of the year the idea of bringing back a student advisor bubbled up in many conversations, but it was clear that this niche could not be filled by just anyone. With just the right timing things fell into place; our PTA was able to commit pilot funding and the perfect person came forward bringing positive energy, community connections and steadfast dedication to students. Nanci Ryan is not new to the McNear Community, she has served as the Mentor Me school site coordinator since 2007 pairing students with adult mentors, organizing lunch activities and this year bringing staff and community members together to host the successful after school homework club. In her added role as student advisor, Nanci is already out welcoming families each morning and improving safety at the crosswalk, connecting students with one another and just right games at recess, assisting in classrooms, running small groups, evaluating schoolwide needs and helping us dream big for a community of caring and learning for all. Please join us in welcoming and partnering with Nanci, we are so grateful she is here! Nanci can be found out and about on campus, in her office in the main hallway or via email: email@example.com.
