Message from the Interim Director
Dear Parents,
This is the first edition of our new monthly newsletter to keep Carolina Charter Academy families informed on what’s happening at the school. We may occasionally issue more frequent newsletters as needed to update families about events happening at the school.
As I’m certain you are aware, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is rapidly spreading around the world. The board and I are putting in place measures to minimize the risk of contagion should someone be infected by this virus at Carolina Charter Academy. We currently sanitize the entire building each month and are seeking more hand sanitizer dispensers to place throughout the school. In the unfortunate event that we do experience an outbreak at the school, we will follow the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We have prepared a letter with more information and have sent it along with this newsletter.
In the meantime, please encourage your children to practice good hygiene, including washing hands thoroughly, and proper grooming. In addition, please do not send your student to school if they have experienced illness within the past twenty-four hours, especially if they have or had a fever, or have taken fever-reducing medication within the previous twenty-four hours. This is not only school policy, failing to adhere to these rules puts other students, their families, teachers, staff, and other visitors at risk of illness.
On behalf of the board, the teachers, the staff, and myself, we appreciate your trust in us to educate your children. As noted in our mission statement, we are committed to providing students an outstanding learning experience in a safe and supportive learning environment. We work diligently every day to achieve that mission.
— Mrs. Nall

Drama Club Update
- Drama Club will come back together this Wednesday, March 4th. If your child has been cast in the play, they will report to Drama Club every Wednesday from now on. We will also be adding the occasional Tuesday and Saturday rehearsal as well.
- If your child is a current member of the Drama Club and is not a member of the cast, they will come to Drama Club this Wednesday, March 4th, but will not come every week. The club members will have the opportunity to sign up for a group to help with the production this week, but that group will meet as needed with a faculty or parent advisor. You will be made aware of these meeting dates on Mondays.
- We invite you to join our new Facebook page: Carolina Charter Academy Drama Club! We will use this page to post club updates, pictures, show dates and reminders.
