Water Safety Tips
Drowning can happen to any family. It's quick, and it's silent. It only takes a moment. A child or weak swimmer can drown in the time it takes to reply to a text, check a fishing line or apply sunscreen.
Water safety is not just about pools! Kids can drown in as little as 1 inch of water. Installing bathroom door locks and toilet latches, and emptying all buckets, pools and tubs helps keep curious little ones safe.
You can stay safe while enjoying water by learning how to swim, closely supervising your children, being a responsible pool owner, and following other water safety tips.

Research suggests that formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning in young kids. Learn to swim at Attleboro YMCA
Start a Family Garden
Gardening encourages your kids to spend more time outside, while giving them something to be responsible for.
Some research shows that children who grow their own food are more likely to eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
You can start seeds indoors or buy young plants.
