Boston Tea Party
On December 16, 1773, The Sons of Liberty poured tea into the Boston Harbor. The Sons of Liberty is a group Patriots who defended their right from the British King. Samuel Adams led The Sons of Liberty to pour the tea into the Boston Harbor due to the taxation on the tea. The Sons of Liberty were upset that the Proclamation can tax them without representation. They poured about 92,000 pounds of tea into the harbor. The King was furious about the tea and shut down the harbor and made the colonists pay for all the tea that they had wasted.
Proclamation of 1763
After the French and Indian War in 1736, the King of Britian established the Proclamation of 1736. The Proclamation says that the colonists can not go west passed the Appalachian Mountian. Due to the enormous debt caused by the war the British King did not want to add more towards the debt of the protection of his colonists. The reason for why the king had to put down this Proclamation was that after the war the colonists had opportunity to expand their colonies. In the end the colonies could not pass the Appalachian Mountain.
Boston Massacre
On March 5, 1770, a fight between a Patriot mob and British Soldier took place in Boston, Massachusetts. The Patriot mob consists of fifty citizens who were throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks. In the response to threat Captain Thomas Preston called for back up and the soldiers attacked the mob. In the end of the attack the soldiers killed three people on the spot, injured 8 people, and two people died later that day. Later, the soldiers and their Captain Preston were put on trial for murder. In the end, only two soldiers were guilty or murder.
