A genetically modified organism is any organism in which the genetics have been altered through the use of modern biotechnology to create a combination of genetic material.

Benefits of GMO

Risks of GMO

-Plants that have been modified can be eaten by animals resulting in bad side affects

-Could relate diseases resistant to antibiotics

Labeling of GMO Products

Products with ingredients that have been genetically modified should have labels letting people know that there is a GMO in the product. Although the benefits outweigh the risks, simply labeling a package can solve a simple problem that is being debated. By educating people about the benefits and risks of GMO we can have them decide weather or not they will buy/eat GMO products.
