Soul Café Helpful Hints
It is up to each individual if you want to set up/make coffee before service or during service (I personally feel better if I prep before service)!
Coffee (see instruction sheet in drawer under the coffee maker) typically 2 pots regular and 1 decaf.
If service looks like a “larger” crowd you can make 1 regular pot during soul café.
Treats- usually can be found on top of the soul café cart or on kitchen counter.
At times they may be located in the fridge or freezer,
but we try to let you know if that is the case.
Juice, Milk, & Coffee can be brought to the gathering area on a cart from the kitchen.
You can serve coffee from carafes located underneath island in the kitchen.
Napkins, stirrers, cups, etc should be in the soul café cart. Please make sure the sugar, sweet n low, stirrers, powdered creamer, and napkins are on top of soul café cart to be easily accessible. If something is low you can look in the back kitchen pantry. If you notice something is empty or running low please let Mary or Camilla know.

"Not Yet Christmas: From Feast to Fast…and Back Again"
Prospect @ Work! Thanks to all who came out to pack Thanksgiving dinners at the South Side Mission today!
Our annual Christmas Adoption kicked off last Sunday!
All 50 children have been adopted---thank you PUMC!!
Please return the unwrapped gifts to PUMC no later than Sunday, December 3rd. You can also drop your items off early during week day office hours in the outer office CLEARLY marked. Like last year, from the suggestion of Chaddock personnel, it is being requested that the unwrapped gifts be put into a duffle bag if possible. This provides the resident with a “suitcase” for his or her belongings when leaving Chaddock.

Prospect Kids Christmas Party!
Kids: Save the date for Saturday, December 16th! Time and details coming soon!!!
March to the Manger & Choir Cantata
This year’s March to the Manger is scheduled for Sunday, December 17th. Each year, following the choir’s cantata, the congregation is given an opportunity to bring a special offering to the manger as a present for Christ and his work through the Missions Ministries/Partnerships of Prospect UMC. This offering, along with the entirety of the offerings received during our Christmas Eve services go to support the missions budget of the church (i.e. We do not keep any of these special offerings for our own budget needs. We give them away as a means of reminding ourselves that “Christmas is not our birthday”).
Thank you for your gift to the Christ child…
a gift that will spread Christmas love to those in need!
