Bobbi Knaak- Title I Teacher- Ocean CrestMrs. Knaak is our Title I teacher and works with our Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students. She is a wife, mother, and a grandmother. She collects tea pots of all sizes and has one that her great grandmother owned which was bought at the World's Fair. Mrs. Knaak was born in Ohio and most of her family lives there still. You might find it interesting to know that she was named after her dad and grandpa. She loves being a part of the Bandon community because she knows our students love learning and they try hard and care deeply. | Kelly Hambly- 5th grade HLMS This is Mrs. Hambly's 8th year teaching at Harbor Lights. She loves teaching here everyday, and getting to instill a positive learning experience and growth mindset in her students. She has 2 small children of her own. She loves dancing, photography, gardening, and hiking on the beach. Something that might surprise you about Kelly, is that she thinks chickens are cute, and she would love to learn to skydive one day! | Ashley Pearson- English Ashley is a 5th-year teacher and has taught the whole time in Bandon. She is the oldest of three kids and feels lucky to have her siblings living here in Bandon with her. She has a nephew in the Bandon School District and he is the light of her life. She moved around a whole bunch growing up, Bandon is the longest she has lived in one place since she was a kid. Ashley loves to travel and got to go to South Carolina in the summer of 2021. She loves the rain, and fall is her favorite season of the year. Halloween is her favorite holiday. Ashley's hobbies include reading, watching movies/tv, and spending time with her family. One of the weirdest jobs she's ever had was being an elf for Santa in the mall one year. Something that might surprise you about Ashley, is she owned her own book store for a few years. If Ashley could learn to do anything, it would be to fly a plane. Some of Ashley's favorite quotes are, “I figure life‘s a gift and I don’t intend on wasting it. You don’t know what hand you’re gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you…to make each day count.” —Jack, Titanic. Ashley's least favorite chore is cleaning the bathroom. |
