A Look Into the Library

September 24th

"This made me think of you."

What a powerful statement to say to a child! When it comes with a book that you suggest they would like, it is like passing out a treasure. You are a powerful influence, and a hero to so many! When a child hears these words, it means so much, because YOU mean so much to that child.

Book Trailers

A simple way to get kids excited about a new book is by sharing a book trailer. They capture the excitement of something coming like a movie trailer. Here is one for a favorite by Jan Brett: https://goo.gl/RZB1At

Here is one for a fun Mo Willems book. https://goo.gl/gxp8mG

This could also spark students in your class to make their own trailers, like these student-made examples:

Because of Winn Dixie: https://goo.gl/Uxc3Ob

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: https://goo.gl/Uxc3Ob

The Giving Tree: https://goo.gl/wiV0tE

Ramona the Brave: https://goo.gl/qgh9ln

We'd love to help make these with students. Just pop in to set up a time to make this happen!
