Grading Assignments
Grading Assignments:
By clicking on the link under 'Reminders', teachers can see which assignments and how many submissions to that assignment need to be graded.
- Which students submitted their work,
- Which students need to have their work graded
- If submissions were late
Teachers have several annotation tools available when grading submissions:
- Mark with a pen
- Leave a sticky note
- Highlight
*Teachers can leave a note, when giving the score, that will appear in the Gradebook.
There is also a feedback column on the right side of the screen, to allow for individual students interaction. It can be a great place for discussion, for student questioning of the assignment, to allow teachers to add additional comments or feedback.

Grading Discussions
Grading Discussions:
To grade, teachers simply click on the Discussion title.
The number of posts that have been made since the teacher last checked the Discussion assignment appears in orange.
Teachers also get a summery of the total number of posts each students has made.
Any post with an Orange Dot and Paper/Pencil icon on the right, still needs to be graded.
To assign a grade, the teacher will simply click on the Grading Icon (paper/pencil).
- Once a grade is assignment, the grade will immediately appear to the student and in the teacher gradebook.
- The Paper/Pencil icon will then turn to a Checkmark icon to indicate the post has been graded.
*Even if a student makes multiple comments on a discussion, the teacher is only able to give one grade per discussion.
