Elementary Scholarships
Norfolk Noon Optimist Club
The Norfolk Noon Optimist Club will be awarding $500.00 Carol Gall Memorial Scholarships this year to high school seniors. Click here for an application to be filled out by student and a form to be filled out by a counselor. Please return completed application materials to the address on the application by April 15th. Scholarship recipients will be invited to a Noon Optimist luncheon at a later date.
Norfolk Morning Kiwanis Club Outstanding Student award
Norfolk Senior High will nominate 3 students and submit those names to the Norfolk Morning Kiwanis Club. One student will be chosen for the Outstanding Student Award and receive a $500 scholarship. If you wish to be nominated for this award, please complete the form below and submit it by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17th.
Local 1005 Norfolk Fire Division Scholarship
$500.00 for a graduating senior.
Must be use at Northeast Community College
Please see the application for additional guidelines. The applicant # will be your school ID number. Applications are due in the counseling center on April 18th at 4:00 pm.
Eastern Star Scholarship
Presented by the Local Chapter
Order of the Eastern Star
Each year Local Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star in the State of Nebraska provide scholarships of varying amounts to high school seniors in the local community. The scholarship is to be used at the institution of higher learning or technical training center of the student's choice. The Eastern Star Scholarship should be awarded to the high school senior who best exemplifies good citizenship and high moral character.

2017 Marlene Blakeman Scholarship
$250
for students who were in Marlene Blackman's elementary class at Northern Hills
Winner of this scholarship will receive a check made payable to the recipient and the college of his/her choice to be used only for remission of tuition, fees, books, room, or board. Application below. Complete and return it to the counseling center by April 21st.
Feidler Eye Clinic Scholarship
$250 for a senior student
Preference will be given to a student planning to major in biological science or a health care related field. Completed applications are due in the counseling center on April 25th.
Norfolk Senior High Staff Scholarships
4 - $250
The Norfolk Senior Staff will be offering scholarships this year to senior students. There is no criteria to apply. All seniors are encouraged to apply! Completed applications are due in the counseling center on April 28th.
NHS Panther Posse Scholarship
must be a member of the Senior Panther Posse
Completed applications are due in the counseling center on April 28th.
Norfolk Senior High Student Council Scholarship
Seniors who have been in student council at Norfolk Senior High are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Completed applications are due in the counseling center on April 28th.
Norfolk Panther Booster Club Scholarship
(for seniors who have parents that are members of the Booster Club)
Due in the counseling center of May 5th.
Meadow Grove Federal Credit Union Scholarship
Meadow Grove Federal Credit Union will give away a $500.00 scholarship to a 2017 graduating senior that is a member in good standing at the Credit Union. Applicants are to write a short essay explaining their plans and how this scholarship will benefit him/her personally and his/her community. Applicants will also need to attach this completed cover sheet. The deadline for scholarship applications to be returned to the address listed on the cover sheet is April 14th.
2017 Northeast Nebraska Ag Community Scholarship
This is a $750 scholarship for a senior with a "C" or higher GPA from Madison, Wayne, Stanton, Peirce, Antelope, Boone, or northern Platte County sponsored by the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce and Madison Chamber of Commerce. Completed applications should be emailed to Jeny Albin at jalbin@norfolkareachamber.com or sent to the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce by April 14th.
TransCanada Scholarships
At TransCanada, we support education and training opportunities in the communities where we do business. Through these efforts we aim to build community capacity, develop the next generation of community leaders, and provide a skilled workforce for our industry.
Our new TransCanada Empower Communities Scholarships are helping students in Canada and the U.S. access education in a range of disciplines.
Click on the links below to learn more about the three scholarships offered and how you can apply. TransCanada will be accepting applications annually from January 15 to April 15.
Please note, the TransCanada Empower Communities Scholarships are not offered to those directly related to a current TransCanada employee or contractor.
Nebraska Agri-Women Scholarship
This $250 scholarship is for any student planning on receiving an Agricultural related degree from either a College or a Technical Trade School in Nebraska. Applications should be completed and returned to the address listed on the scholarship by April 15th.
The James M. Cox Foundation Scholarships
The $1,000 scholarship will be paid directly to the institution of higher education that the student chooses to attend.
Scholarship Criteria:
- The student must be a 2017 high school graduate with an academic record that indicates he/she will be successful in higher education.
- The scholarships are awarded on the basis of need, and therefore, we request that a FAFSA must be completed.
- Factors considered on the FAFSA will be parent's Adjusted Gross Income (on income taxes), the number of dependents on the tax return, and the total number of dependents who will be attending an institution of higher education in 2017-2018.
- Essays and letters of recommendation are also considered.
Pheasant's Forever Scholarship
2- $250 Scholarships
This scholarship is for students living in Colfax, Cuming, Dodge, Madison, or Stanton counties who plan to go into wildlife management or soil conservation. Students will submit completed applications to the address listed on the application by April 21st.
2017 Student-View Scholarship Program
The 2017 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school. The program includes:
- One $4,000 scholarship
- Two $1,000 scholarships
- Ten $500 scholarships
- No minimum SAT/ACT score or grade point average
- No essay required
- No lengthy application forms
- No application fees
Lueshen's Birders Scholarships
2- $500
Lueshen's Birders is a Northeast Nebraska Birdwatchers organization that was formed to promote bird watching, wildlife conservation, and enjoyment of nature. With this in mind, the club is offering scholarships to students planning to enter a biological field of study with special emphasis on wildlife and environmental conservation. Completed applications should be mailed to the address listed on the application by April 28th.
White Owl Scholarship
at University of Nebraska Kearney
Nu Kappa chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at UNK offers a scholarship to incoming male freshman that intend to study at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Each application is reviewed based on his academics, involvement, and character. There is also no obligation to join a greek organization if one were to fill out the form. Completed applications should be sent to the address on the application by April 28th.
