Week 4
This week we began jumping into sight words. Our word this week was 'I." The kids were super excited to know the difference between the word 'I' and the letter 'i.' We continued working through the alphabet, getting to the letter Oo today. Ask your child if the letter Oo is a vowel or a consonant... another fact they are excited to know! We are working through our letters and sounds to help us become better writers and readers. The students are continuing to stretch out words during writing as well as looking at picture clues in reading. Remind them to use their "Eagle Eye" and "Stretchy Snake" strategies at home. Below you will find some pictures of our tree observations!
Nuts about Science!
Peyton found an acorn as we were observing trees.
Happy Johnny Appleseed Day!
Preston is working hard filling in missing numbers up to 100.
Holy Moly!
Lillie found a hole in this tree!
