A New Year with LOTS of New Changes
When you enter Southridge Middle School, you are greeted by Mrs. Tracey Michel and Mrs. Shea King. These two ladies are the "Keepers of the Office"! The number of duties these two ladies perform in a day's time is staggering. So, just a little shout out to these wonderful ladies. Thanks for being here at the Middle School again this year!!!!!
Mr. Gogel comes to us from South Spencer.
Mrs. Fuhs is a graduate of Southridge High School and comes to us from Heritage Hills. We're glad to have you back "home"! Enjoy your year.
Mr. Rohrer is a native of Barr Reeve and comes to us from South Knox. Welcome to the Southridge family!
Ms. Neuhoff replaces Mrs. Breanne Rainey who moved to Holland Elementary. We wish both of these ladies well in their new positions. Ms. Neuhoff is demonstrating her Raider P.R.I.D.E. in the accompanying photo.

UPGRADE !!!!
FREE FOOTBALL TAILGATE EVENT: PUBLIC INVITED!
Southridge Middle School is an Upgrade school! Upgrade (formerly known as HEROES) is an initiative of the Welborn Baptist Foundation that aims to help students win in the classroom through healthy choices and physical activity. In an effort to raise more awareness of our Upgrade wellness efforts and involve the community, we are teaming up with other Upgrade schools - Huntingburg Elementary, Holland Elementary and North Spencer Schools - to offer a FREE HEALTHY TAILGATE EVENT before the SOUTHRIDGE vs. HERITAGE HILLS varsity football game on Friday, September 28th. The tailgate will be held in the lawn south of the football field and will begin at 6:30 (game time is 8:00). Raider and Patriot fans will have the opportunity to sample healthy food options, gather recipes, and learn more about local nonprofits and businesses who also carry the mission of promoting better healthier lifestyles. Shannon Fuhs (fuhss@swdubois.k12.in.us) is the Upgrade grant coordinator for Southridge Middle School.
