Celebrate good times.... at home
In accordance with the PLSD Student Handbook (pages 6 & 9), and in an effort to keep our students safe, students are not permitted to have fast food (Wendy's, pizza. etc.) brought or delivered to the cafeteria for lunch. Deliveries of flowers, balloons, etc are also not permitted. Students move from class to class throughout the day, and carrying flowers or balloons is not practical and creates a disruption and safety hazard. Petermann Transportation will not allow students to ride the bus with these items. There are students who have various allergies to foods, fragrances, latex, etc. for whom exposure to these items would be harmful. Thank you for observing this policy and for celebrating special occasions after school.
Chromebooks
At this time, 7th graders should have their chromebook from the middle school. Most 8th graders and new 7th graders have them, and we are still awaiting more new ones for those still needing one. Thank you for your patience.
Students have been reminded that charging takes place at home, not school, and the device should come to school every day charged. ** If you have not yet paid there $35 insurance fee, please do so ASAP. Any damage to the device WILL NOT be covered unless the insurance premium is paid and in effect. Avoid costly repairs by paying for the device insurance soon.
