Pastoral Formation Monthly Update
What's Buzzin in Pastoral Formation?
March Buzz Report
Dear Friends:
As was mentioned in this week’s The Catholic Miscellany, it is not too late to review your Lenten practices and to intensify these during the holiest week of the year—Holy Week. Try to set aside minimally 10 minutes a day to quiet yourself and pray to the Lord; take a break from social media…put your phone down for one or three hours a day during Holy Week; and, try helping someone in need or someone who is lonely during the next couple of weeks.
I have also included some activities that I have been invited to lead over the past month. Whether it be an RCIA retreat, the Annual Lenten Principal’s Retreat or a class on Franciscan spirituality, I find one thing in common—the faith of South Carolinians is awesome and inspiring to this consecrated religious.
May you be blessed the remainder of Lent; and please know that I will remember you in prayer over the next couple of weeks, especially during the sacred time of the Triduum…Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Peace and all good,
Blessed Lent.

Spiritual Direction
Sister Kathy also belongs to Spiritual Directors International in order to keep abreast of the multifaceted perspectives of spiritual direction, as well as making connections with professionals in the field.
For a complete list of spiritual directors in our diocese please check our departmental website: https://sccatholic.org/spiritual-directors-south-carolina. Most directors ask for a nominal fee to help defray the cost of their education and often on a sliding scale. For the most part, spiritual directions occurs once a month.
