We spent time this week gathered together as a school to pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet for the soul of Sam Zurbuch and his family during this difficult time. Please keep him and all those affected by Sam’s unexpected death a part of your family’s daily prayers in the days ahead. If you are interested in specific details about his upcoming service or Rosary please visit: https://www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com/obituary/Samuel-Zurbuch
Happy Birthday this weekend to Drake! Have a wonderful birthday!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our mothers, grandmothers, and all the other women in our lives who also take on the role of mother! May your weekend ahead be a joyful one!
‘May the example of Mary, mother of Jesus, inspire them to live their vocation as Christian mothers and call their children to faith. Guide and protect them in challenging times and help them to continue to trust in you all the days of their life. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.’
Thank you to our drivers for our field trip to the Old Fort on Friday! We really do love having you come along with us. We were able to learn a little bit more history about this part of Indiana and how the pioneers lived so long ago. Plus as a bonus it was sunny all day and the kids really did represent St. Louis Academy in a good light! (I cannot wait until our trip to Indianapolis!)
I just cannot believe next week is our last full week of school. How is that even possible?! We will spend next week, having our last JA with Mrs. Snyder, completing 3 NWEA spring assessments, taking our Science test, taking our last spelling test of the year, looking at different attributes of polygons, the importance of pentecost, and some more important facts about our state’s government before our Indianapolis field trip. That’s a lot to get done and so we are going to be very busy! If your child has any missing or want to correct and turn back in work please have this turned in to me no later than Friday May 17.
Our last grades for Science will be next week between the study guide and chapter 9. Your child already has corrected his/her study guide so he/she can accurately study. The test will be on Tuesday.
In this week’s Friday folder there is a waiver form for Knockerballs that will be available on our field day. I personally would recommend signing and returning it, even if your child doesn’t think they want to play in them now. On the day of if a child does not want to play in the knockerball even though a permission has been filled out, he/she will not have to. However, if a child changes his/her mind about now wanting to participate in knockerball, but we do not have a signed form, the child still will not be allowed to. These forms must be signed and returned back to school no later than Friday, May 17.
We are also in need of volunteers to help out with field day on Monday, May 20. Please use the link to sign up.
