Tiger Family Newsletter Dec. 2021
All the important deets to stay in the know!
May It Be of Benefit
Hello Families,
Thank you to everyone who connected with their child's teacher for a conference before we went on Thanksgiving Break. It was wonderful to meet (virtually and in-person) with you to share successes and co-create plans for continued growth.
As we head into the holiday season, though the pandemic and the political fallout from it continue to affect us all, I want to take a moment to focus on some positive things on our campus. We have been able to have Cross Country, Lunchtime Intermural Soccer, & 4/5 Afterschool/Competitive Soccer. We have been able to continue to have our Impact Mentors on campus along with other parent and community volunteers who have either shown proof of vaccination or negative Covid tests. This includes field trips such as our Kindergarten trip to the pumpkin patch and our upcoming 2nd-grade trip to the Cascade Theater. Classes are also able to meet with their Buddy Classes outdoors, and Mrs. Dennison's 3rd-graders treated us to outdoor Reader's Theater. Finally, Ms. Orr's Craft Club and 5th-grade Leadership are up and running, and we continue to be able to support students with extended day tutoring.
When tensions run high and frustrations abound in these challenging times, it helps to take a look at all that we have to celebrate. I am truly grateful that we are able to be open for in-person instruction, and I'm amazed at how our staff and families have come together to offer all of these opportunities for children. Thank you for continuing to offer grace and understanding to one another as we navigate the challenges and stay focused on maximizing the learning experience of our Shasta Meadows Tigers!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Gold
