OT Advocacy
Let your OT voice be heard at the CO State Capitol!
Capitol Hill Day
YOU can make a positive and valuable impact on our profession! Please consider joining us at Hill day where you'll have an opportunity to educate representatives and senators on bills/issues that impact occupational therapy in Colorado.
We will specifically be advocating for change on Bill HB15-1083: Patient Contribution Rehabilitation Services. "The bill prohibits an insurance carrier from classifying an office visit for physical rehabilitation services provided by a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or chiropractor as a specialty service. The bill limits the copayment that may be charged for physical rehabilitation services to 50% of what the provider is paid for the visit by the carrier"
Attendees will have the option to earn "attendance hours" that could be used toward PDUs (NBCOT) and/or PDAs (DORA).
OTAC members and OT/OTA students: Free
Non-OTAC members: $25
