Spanish 1 w/ Señor Hall at NCVPS
Updates from Señor Hall for Spanish 1
Spanish 1 Week 19 ~ January 8th - January 12th
Due to the impact of inclement weather, NCVPS has extended its Fall 2017 semester to Friday, January 19. We know this will help districts and students who have lost school days due to the weather. Here are the calendar changes:
- Fall 2017 block courses end on January 19, 2018. This is the last day students will have access to their courses.
- Teachers will report grades on January 23, 2018.
- Final grade reports will be posted in the registration system on January 25, 2018. Progress reports for yearlong courses will be posted on this date, too.
- Spring semester will open on its originally scheduled date, January 29, 2018
Please give me a call, text or email if you have any questions with the end of the semester. You are not bothering me. :) Yo soy tu profesor de español. I am here to help you learn Spanish and technology skills. Please don't ever hesitate to ask me any questions that you have about the course. :)

Monday-Tuesday:_____ Proyecto Final de Español Uno: Parte 1 ~ Escribir y Hablar
Wednesday- Thursday:_____ Proyecto Final de Español Uno: Parte 2 ~ Leer y Escuchar
**All course assignments must be turned in by 1/19/18. At 11:59 pm on that date, the course will close and any incomplete final assignments will calculate as 0s. You will not be given an opportunity to make them up.**
Always make sure they are keeping up with the Course Schedule of Assignments. I would suggest downloading it and printing it out to make sure you are completing all of the assignments.
Here is the hyperlink for the Spanish 1 Schedule of Assignments:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sp8ZAY-P4FTGA8-2rjC_aXtRKUP9mROhCb0KnGlUE5U/edit
Only the assignments listed there will be counted for your grade. The Práctica and Actividades activities are practice and do not count for your grade, although they MUST be completed in order to move forward in the course.
Required Live Class (RLC) Schedule
The purpose of the Required Live Classes (RLC) is to give students access to their teachers for lessons, Q & A and support in their Spanish classes. The RLC sessions are offered every week at a variety of times. You may attend any session you like. Choose the one that best fits your schedule.
Here is a Google Calendar link to all the Spanish 1 sessions:
Just pay attention to the times, dates and topics:
Remember GS = Getting Started
U1 = Unit 1
U2 = Unit 2
After attending each session, you need to complete a brief reflective assignment including the following items:
When did you attend (provide date and time)?
Who was the teacher/presenter?
What did you cover/learn? (You should include a complete copy of your notes with at least 10 specific things discussed/covered.)
What do you still have questions about? (You should always have questions, so do NOT put "none.")
What do you need to work on/improve? (This should be specific, regarding at least one thing that was discussed in the session.)
How do you plan to improve in the area/s listed above? (Again, be as specific as possible.)
How can I (your teacher) help you? (Again, be as specific as possible.)
Please use COMPLETE SENTENCES in your responses and submit this at the bottom of the RLC Assignment page.
