January 2022
Dear Cougar Families,
Happy New Year! I hope your family enjoyed the Holidays, got some rest and had some fun. It’s a busy time of year, for sure, but also a great time to reflect back on a difficult 2021 and set goals and high hopes for 2022. We’re staying positive and working hard to impact our students the best we can to start the year here at The Creek, both academically and socially/emotionally. We’ve spent time this week reviewing and reteaching school wide expectations for behavior in the classrooms, on the playground, and at other locations around the school. We definitely believe in being crystal clear with our intended outcomes…it’s hard to hit a target you can’t see or don’t understand! The winter assessment window also just opened, so your student may come home and talk about completing a Star reading or math test, or maybe easyCBM. As we near the end of the first half of the year we reflect on and celebrate our growth, both as individual students and school-wide, and adapt plans accordingly to meet the needs of our students based on the most current data. We’re so proud of what our students have accomplished so far under tough circumstances, and look forward to working with them to further their growth and achievement into the spring. Parents and guardians, you have a huge hand in that growth and we appreciate all of the sacrifices you make and support you provide to help your student at school. Happy 2022!
