Seniors: Apply for CTE Distinction today!
Apply for CTE Distinction today! Graduation is just around the corner and Royal High School wants to congratulate all high school seniors who have earned a two year CTE Pathway course sequence with grades "C" or higher. So that every student is recognized, apply today for Pathway recognition during Senior Awards Night. For questions, email/ask Ms. Mayea, Assistant Principal.

Laptop Announcement
Laptop computers were issued to all students at the beginning of the school year and/or when your student enrolled. These laptops were issued with a protective cover to assist in preventing damages from being dropped. Please make sure the laptop has a protective cover. If your cover is missing or damaged, you can buy a replacement cover in ASB for $22. In addition, any damage from writing or drawing on your computer will be at your own expense, even if the insurance policy was purchased.
ACADEMICS INFORMATION
Peer Tutoring
Royal High School's Center for Academic Success ("The CAS") provides academic support for students experiencing challenges through weekly tutoring and guidance from upperclassmen student tutors from our chapters of National Honor Society and Math Honor Society.
Housed in our Library building in Room 2-2, the CAS is equipped with editions of each of our course textbooks and full access to all of our Library resources.

SPOTLIGHT ON.....Azusa Pacific University
FAST FACTS:
Azusa Pacific University (APU) is a Christian university located in the San Gabriel Valley city of Azusa, 20 miles northeast of Los Angeles. They also have 7 off-site regional locations throughout Southern California.
APU is home to 3,940 undergraduate students.
Their colors are brick (dark red) and black. The university mascot is the cougar.
61 bachelor’s degrees, 44 master’s degrees, 25 certificates, 8 credentials, and 9 doctoral programs are offered by the university.
APU students come from 50 states and 72 different countries.
Their most popular majors are Nursing, Psychology, Business, Liberal Arts & Humanities, Kinesiology and Exercise Science, Engineering, Animation and Visual Effects, and Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration.
There is a 11:1 student:faculty ratio.
66% of classes have fewer than 20 students.
19 intercollegiate sports are available at APU and compete in NCAA Division II. 8 men’s sports and 11 women’s sports are offered.
APU offers a variety of performing arts clubs, social clubs, service clubs, academic clubs, and honor societies.

Please consider supporting your Royal High School PTA by joining the PTSA for only a $7.00 fee.
Your membership dues help the many programs offered at the school such as Reflections, Every 15 mins, Distracted Driver, Scholarship Awards, and the Senior BBQ among others.
As a member you have a voice and vote at all PTSA Association meetings, you can advocate for students and teachers at the state level, and it also provides college scholarship opportunities for eligible students (qualifications include a 2-year membership.)
Membership DOES NOT require you to volunteer, but volunteers are welcome.
