Drop off and Pick Up Reminders
Please continue reading if you drive your child to school!
With cold weather and winter precipitation, we have noticed an increase of parents driving students to school.
Please be aware of the safety precautions we have in place and please pass this info along to anyone that may drive your child to school, including HS siblings.
From 7:00-7:30 AM AND 2:00-2:30PM, there is ONE WAY TRAFFIC ONLY.
You must enter Lenape from STATE STREET and exit on to WEST STREET.
All students should be dropped off around back, near the cafeteria. Please pull your car up as far as you can to the Yield Sign, just past the cafeteria doors. Students should exit their car as soon as they see a sidewalk-in the roller coaster fashion. We would like for at least 12-15 cars to be unloading at a time to help with the flow of traffic. As you are sitting in the long line, please help your child prepare to exit the car, with bags collected etc. Please do not wait until it is your turn to exit the car to find your bags.
PLEASE DO NOT:
- Drop your child off on the side of the road--State Street
- Drop your child off in the church parking lot
- Drop your child off in the cardio office lot and exit on to State Street
- Enter from WEST STREET, drop your child off and do a U-Turn in the parking Lot
- Enter our main parking lot, drop your child off and do a U-Turn to exit on to State Street. We have buses trying to exit at the same time.
All of these precautions are put in to place to keep everyone safe. We fully understand that the car line is long, therefore you may need to adjust your departure time from home in order to arrive on time.
Thank you for your help with these important safety measures.

Guidance "Sparks"
In a recent article by psychologist Louis Tay, he states, “Don’t push your children toward skills just because they pay well. Financial success is only one dimension of a fulfilling life.” Teaching our children to understand and value money can be a challenge in our world especially when we consider what is “needed” and what is “wanted”. As part of our Career Education Program through the District’s Success Plan (Smart Futures and Naviance), we provide lessons and resources on various topics including “How Money is Used” in the primary grades, to budgeting, financial literacy and entrepreneurship in the secondary grades. These are important lessons to help your daughter or son see a path to their future goals and a means to attain those goals. Ask your student to log onto these platforms and show you what they are learning.

Safe2Say
Safe2Say is a valuable resource that has been set up by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide a method for anyone to report a concern about a student or group of students 24/7. Please note some important reminders about the use of Safe2Say:
- If you put in a tip, please check back often for communications. The tip line is monitored 24/7 at the state level. The tip is sent to the school and/or police if it is deemed "Life Safety" immediately. It is sent in the morning if it is determined to be "Non-Life Safety."
- It is important to include as much information as possible. If you have evidence of your concerns, please share that evidence via the tip or with us. You can attach pictures and videos in the Safe2Say system.
Please remember that Safe2Say is statewide system that is used in collaboration with the State Attorney's Office, emergency responders, and school officials. It is important to know that tips are reviewed on the state level before being passed to the local police and/or school authorities. Please consider the purpose of your tip - Is it to provide another person with a way to receive help? Is it preventing an act of violence? Is it something that needs to involve local and state authorities? While the system is anonymous, abuse of the system will not be tolerated and actions will be taken if it is determined that the system is being used inappropriately.
