It Take a Village.....Parenting Tips
As you think about your child/children scheduling classes for next year, read this article first, Being a Teen Is Hard Enough. "We need to start putting our kids’ mental health first, and then teach them how to decide what they can handle. Because if your kid can’t sleep because of stress or starts hurting themselves to cope with anxiety or something worse yet, that “challenging” course they felt they should take or team we pushed them to join or added responsibility they weren’t ready for may not be worth it."

Scheduling Information Night: Ryle High School (Incoming 9th Graders)
Tuesday, February 4th 6:30pm-8:30pm Ryle High School-Large Gym
Welcome Future Ryle Raiders
You and your parents are cordially invited to Ryle High School to receive your scheduling materials for your Freshman School year. Each student will receive a course book and scheduling worksheet (one per student). We will then have a presentation in the large gym to explain the scheduling process, deadlines and timeline, and how to pick the best classes for your freshman year (there are a lot of options). Retail Marketing will also be present so you can purchase your Future Raider spirit wear!
As parents and students arrive, be sure to check in at the tables in the Upper Commons to receive your scheduling materials. They will be organized in alphabetical order by the student's last name. If you are unable to attend, your student will be given the materials at their Middle School after the meeting. All scheduling materials can also be found on the Ryle Website under Raider Basics: Student Scheduling Information or Under Quick Links. Parents will then be invited to Ryle High School again for our Advisory Day on February 17, 2020. More details will be shared in a future email so be on the lookout for that in February.
